Reconstruction of our Home

Last year, because of the typhoons, especially Ondoy, we had a major termite infestation at our home. The ceilings in our bathroom and at the back of our house gave in and the lighting fixtures were damaged, too.

Here are some photos of the ceilings just so you’d see how damaged they are. I just took them a couple of minutes ago.

The ceiling in our bathroom had to be supported by bamboo trunks so they won’t collapse while we’re inside. I know, it’s a mess. We’ve managed to tolerate it.

We know what we needed to do. We really need to get the ceilings reconstructed before the rainy season comes. It’s going to cost us at least Php 50,000 because aside from the reconstruction, we need to ensure that there’ll be no more termites near the area. Unfortunately, right now, we don’t have enough budget to finance the reconstruction because we just had our internet cafe set up.

I’m really praying that we’ll have the money to have our ceilings fixed before June because that’s when the heavy rains usually start.

  • Obviously, Ondoy damaged lots of properties thereby requiring reconstruction. Still, we’re lucky that we survive. Keep growing! 🙂

  • Yes, we’re indeed lucky. Thank you for your post 🙂

  • My prayers are with you. You will be getting your required money.
