Even after last season's ridiculous Joan Rivers victory over Annie Duke, we still continued to watch The Celebrity Apprentice. Well, the main reason I wanted to watch is because Cyndi Lauper and Sharon Osbourne are part of the cast.
After the first 3 episodes, I know the girls have an edge over the men simply because the get things done even after some moments of bickering. The men got too much respect for each other that they can't step up and do what's actually needed and would be more effective for their assignments.
In the second episode of The Celebrity Apprentice, they were given the task to come up with a fun customer experience for a Kodak storefront. I loved the idea of the men, whose team name is Rock Solid (eek, Brett. But, at least it's something new), wherein they used all of their celebrities to come up with a memorable and exciting storefront experience where customers can have a photo with them in their own elements or specialties. I would've loved to take a photo with celebrity chef Curtis Stone in their kitchen scene, or with actor/wrestler Bill Goldberg in his wrestling ring scene. The only thing they didn't do, which resulted to their loss, was not giving the product more focus. They should've assigned at least one of them to present the products to the customers who were coming in. Instead, they only handed out cards with instructions on how the customers can get their photos online. Sheesh. It was a pretty lousy idea giving out those cards. And Sinbad could've been saved if only he told Donald Trump that Brett was indeed hard to manage.
Anyway, I knew the women will kick ass this season. They all seemed more focus and more competitive than the men. One of them even quit - Darryl Strawberry. I got irritated when he kept on insisting he wanted to take one for the team when in reality he just wanted to get the hell out of there because he's one lazy ass guy who only thinks of himself. He could've saved himself the shame by offering to give his charity money from his own pocket instead of just leaving the show like that. Sheesh. Even though I hated Michael Johnson for being his stupid, hard-headed self, I hated Darryl more because he's a quitter, no matter what he did in his field as a baseball player.
Cyndi Lauper is kinda irritating, but she's so damn nice that no one would want to hurt her feelings. Summer Sanders should've talked to Cyndi and told her she needs to focus and not be a nuisance to them. Cyndi would understand. She just didn't know what she was doing to them and what the effects of her actions are. I love her, but I do hope that what happened in their last challenge would help her focus more.
No one has stood out for me yet this season. I guess I'm looking for someone to work like how Annie Duke did last season. I like Cyndi Lauper, Bill Goldberg, Holly Robinson Peete, Sharon Osbourne, Selita Ebanks, and Maria Kanellis. The rest, especially Rod Blagojevich, former Illinois governor, I don't really care about. But, Rod is pretty funny to watch, especially when he can't help but shake hands with people who recognize him in the streets. He just can't freaking control himself. LOL
I hope the one who really deserves it wins this season. That way, I can still convince Mai to watch the show with me next time around. LOL
By the way, I am loving that red or maroon sofa that the girls are relaxing on. Love to have one of those custom-made modern furniture for our home, just like that sofa Kathy Griffin has in her living room.
