We've had hot weather here since last month and it really drains my energy. I also noticed that Mai and I are a bit (bit?! really? LOL) more irritable because even with the AC on in our internet cafe, we can still feel the warmth of the sun shining from outside.
For the past week, I've experienced a couple of allergies because of this warm weather. Mai also had to buy a zit remedy because she also had a couple of breakouts. Argh. The heat of summer can really cause damage to your skin so Mai and I are very careful when we go out.
Last week, Mai and I celebrated her birthday and I was a bit more tired than usual. I had to drink lots of water and liquids while we were shopping and strolling at Trinoma and SM Annex at North Edsa. I was craving for something really cold like ice cream, but we saw this instead - The White Hat:
We only ordered a White Hat regular-sized frozen yogurt (4 oz.), which costs Php 85. The larger tub, 12 oz, was at Php 195. After trying it, I wished we ordered the 12-oz tub, but we were in a hurry because we had a couple more things to buy.
It's so freaking yummy that I now swear I won't have ice cream again... well, whenever we're close to any White Hat branch.
Mai and I added yogurt to our diet weeks ago in our quest to lose the weight we've gained in the past years. Yogurt really helped Mai with her digestion and acidic stomach. We're looking for a cheaper way to continue with yogurt at least three times a week so we'll be checking out a few more stores that sell yogurt.
In another story... and mall...
If you were born in the 80s, then, you might be familiar with SCRAMBLE. It's that pink, foamy drink that's made up of crushed or shaved ice, vanilla, sugar and tastes better with chocolate syrup and powdered milk. I thought it's no longer available 'til my brother Kenneth showed me Icebreaker's Scramble stall at Victory Mall in Monumento.
It was as good as I remembered. Icebreaker's version is a bit tastier because of all that syrup they topped it with. I was able to take a photo of my cup when it was almost empty.
Ugh. All this talk about frozen yogurt and ice-cold scramble makes me want to go out and buy something really cold at 10PM on Good Friday. Sheesh. Good thing we're going out on the 7th for the Nuffnang event - Glutamax awarding of the winners of their "The New Me" contest. My brother and Mai are coming with me. I'm hoping I win, but no matter what happens, I hope it'll be a fun event where I can meet other bloggers who also joined the contest.
Are you coming to the event on April 7th? If you are, let's meet up! :)
