Last Tuesday, when rain started to pour, I was so happy that I almost went out and played in the rain. It was so hot these past weeks that the air conditioner and ceiling fan we have here in our internet cafe are not enough to cool the area. This is why Mai and I are planning on buying a new AC with higher power to help us endure sitting in front of the computer for a whole day.
Because of this hot summer weather, Mai was really pushing me to plan a Baguio trip for the whole family this summer. I really wanted to push through with that because I haven't been to Baguio for years! My last visit was almost 6 years ago and I've told Mai a lot of stories about our many trips there in the past years. I really want Mai to experience Baguio while it's still summer, but since our internet cafe just opened a month ago and we've got a lot of things to take care of financially, we can't.
My nanay is planning on a Baguio trip for Mai's family and ours by December. It's the best time to go there because it's already cold everywhere else near Christmas time. We didn't really want to suffer paying for higher rentals or expenses because it's peak season in Baguio every summer so I suggested we do it in December.
While I was showing Mai photos of our trip to Baguio in the past years, I saw this:
(It's already a cutout because my dad made this scrapbook of our photos since they were both single 'til my brother and I were older. That's where I got the photos on this post)
That's my mom in Baguio when she was in her 20s. She loves horseback-riding back then and this was a photo of her before she rode on that li'l pony, that's why she wasn't wearing her riding boots yet. I know that's a pony because my mom's about 4'10" only. *LOL*
Here's a photo of my brother and I riding a horse in Baguio. We only rode it for a couple of minutes to take this photo. I wasn't scared, but look at my brother. Awww... so cute. Now, he's all grown-up. Not cute anymore. *LOL*
I hope our plans to go there in December will push through 'coz I really want to visit Baguio again, this time, with my life partner Mai. Yipee! I'm already excited! Wait, I don't want to jinx it. *grin*
I wonder how Baguio looks like now. When we last went there, the zigzag roads were being reconstructed.
This whole Baguio trip makes me want to really lose the weight before December so that I can climb the 252 steps to Lourdes Grotto again. Last time I did that was on the above photo, and I was only 11, as far as I can remember.
Can you feel how excited I am? Sheesh! Words aren't enough to describe it. Hehehe. I want to shop for strawberries, peanut brittle, broccoli and even visit the ukay-ukay store with my brother! Woot!
