I don't usually like watching TV shows on GMA channel 7, but ever since I saw an episode of Wish Ko Lang (My Only Wish) where they reunited a family who have been apart for over a decade, I wanted to watch them every week. I can't watch them on TV every Saturday, but good thing I can catch up on their episodes on PinoyTube.TV.
Wish Ko Lang is a TV show where Vicky Morales, GMA and their sponsors grant people's wishes and they document everything on the show. It's a bit too dramatic at times, but I love seeing the reactions of people when their simple or grand wishes come true. I get teary-eyed most of the time.
I love shows like Wish Ko Lang because it's my ultimate wish - to have the resources to grant people's wishes, those who truly deserved it. I wish I can be at least one-fourth of how rich Oprah Winfrey is so I can help people who are in need. I love Oprah because she loves helping other people, too. That's why she's been blessed - she pays it forward.
While pondering on this thought of being able to grant people's wishes, I came upon this forum where people share their own wishes, may it be personal, about their health, for their friends, etc. They also get the chance to help grant other people's wishes. It's the Tree of Wishes.
I've been reading through the different forum threads and it's amazing and touching to read about people who are kind enough to help out other people. I'm still browsing through them in hopes of finding someone whose wish I can grant. That's a start, right? Go ahead and browse through the wishes or post your own.
This made me think about coming up with a blog contest of my own. I still haven't figured out what prizes I should give out since I want this open for everyone, Filipinos and international bloggers, too.
The contest would be like this: Blog about your ultimate wish - it can be as simple or as grand as you want it to be. Then, I'll choose 3 winners among all the entries. For now, think of what you want to blog about for this contest. You can also share with me what prizes you want me to give away. I'm thinking of a 2-year domain registration as one of them. Still need 2 more prizes. Hmmm... 5,000 to 10,000 Entrecard credits? Amazon.com Gift Cards? What do you think?

ReplyDeleteOh I like this! As early as now, my brain is already formulating which wish to post. With the prizes, the domain registration is a great idea. I hope it's via Moniker (courtesy of your tutorial) so I can continue with my domain, that is in case I get lucky. Adgitize space is good too or maybe cash prize via Paypal is always appreciated, hehehe!
