Heroes of Newerth Update for South East Asian Players

Heroes of Newerth (HoN) has officially been released and all players who bought a subscription/account for $30.00 are the only ones who can play in the international servers of S2 Games for Heroes of Newerth.
Bad news for all Heroes of Newerth players from South East Asia like the Philippines, Vietnam, Taiwan and Malaysia – we cannot play in the international servers anymore unless, I believe, if you've already bought the game before they partnered with their South East Asia affiliate.


You may be wondering who that S2 Games' South East Asia (SEA) affiliate is. Well, it's none other than Garena, the largest gaming community in this part of the world.
So, what does that mean for all South East Asian players? It means you don't have to buy Heroes of Newerth for $30, but you can play it on Garena for free. HOWEVER, I believe Garena will require HoN players to pay for Gold membership, as this is a requirement to get a beta key to play Heroes of Newerth on Garena. Here are the benefits of being a Garena Gold member:
I'm wondering if we can just buy a day of Garena Gold membership and still get a beta key for Heroes of Newerth on Garena. We're selling prepaid game load here at our internet cafe through LoadCentral and so it'll be easy for us to buy Gold membership.
But, I hope that there's a chance for SEA players like us to still play in the international players. Mai prefers to play there because the servers are more stable and non-Asian players seem to be nicer. Yes, believe it or not. *LoL* I just find it funny that fellow Filipino players tend to take the game so freaking seriously like playing online games like Heroes of Newerth and gloating or bullying fellow players serve as their hgh releasers or what because they can't help, but be mean to other players. *LoL* Well, we actually can understand because we also, sometimes, treat other players like that when we're playing Crossfire. Hehehe.
Right now, Garena is still working on their Heroes of Newerth beta servers. Mai can't wait for it to be up so she can play again. I just hope there won't be too many mean players when Heroes of Newerth on Garena starts because that'll result to me not enjoying the game at all.
