Miss Universe 2010 Winners – Miss Mexico Wins it All!

After what happened last night, I was looking forward to a major uplifting today from watching the Miss Universe 2010 pageant, with our representative Venus Raj. Venus Raj - Miss Philippines at the Miss Universe 2010 - JustAnotherPixel.net

I was so ecstatic when Venus Raj made it to the Top 5. Even though she didn’t win, I’m still proud of her. Venus Raj was crowned 4th Runner-up in this year’s Miss Universe.

They are all really beautiful! Congratulations, especially to the Miss Universe 2010 winner Miss Mexico Jimena Navarrete!

And to Venus Raj, you did well! :)

P.S. I just hope, next time, these women won’t avoid answering the question just to stay positive. They need to be more inspiring with their answers. And I think that’s what caused Venus the title. Sayang! Trending on Twitter is “major major” because of Pinoys. What’s wrong with us? LOL.

I just read on Twitter about Lea Salonga suggesting we use an interpreter next time. I believe our representative could better answer the question in our own language, Filipino / Tagalog. The Spanish-speaking, Chinese-speaking and other language-speaking contestants use an interpreter. What’s wrong with us doing the same? We shouldn’t be ashamed of our own language!
