Although I co-manage our own business, an internet cafe, I still experience a lot of stress due to problems we encounter (broken printer, computers, etc) and difficult customers we deal with. You can read more about our life as internet cafe owners at our blog – iCafe Blog. Wouldn't it be nice to take a break without thinking of the lost in sales if I do?
I remember one of my friends sharing photos of her staying at their house in Tagaytay to unwind. She never took a break in her 10 years of working for a certain multi-national company in Makati. And, when she finally gave in to her soul's desires, she took a week long vacation, ALONE, in their family home in Tagaytay.
I wish I have a place like that outside the city, like a cabin or something. Somewhere I can be safe and sound, far from the noises of the city. I can just sit and relax in a quiet living room, surrounded by rustic cabin furniture, while playing my favorite slow songs in the background. No internet connection. No computers. No cellphones. No distractions. Just me. All by my lonesome. Whew! Just thinking about it relaxes me.
I wonder when I'd get to do that. I'm now thinking about adding this to my bucket list. Hmmm... what do you think?
