Different Hairstyles = Hair Damage

I've talked about my skin and my body, and how I need to start taking care of myself. But, another part of me that I should also pay some attention to is my HAIR.

When I was a kid, I was always invited (and volunteered by my mother *LOL*) to join parades and sagala every fiesta of the 2 barangays we belong to (our home was located at the boundary). I actually enjoyed it because I get to wear gowns and get made up. My nanay and my godmother (my father's sister) were usually in charge of my makeup, then, someone else did my hair.

It was all fun. But, all the hair spray (Spraynet) and styling I got, though, when I was younger damaged my hair. As early as high school, I had really bad hair that I can't wear them long or I'll have to tie them up in ponytails.

In my lifetime, I've also had my hair rebonded twice. Yes, I know. But, I really want my hair straightened and having it "relaxed" or straightened the regular way (shampoo, conditioner, hair straightening treatments, etc) just didn't work.

I also love dyeing my hair. I've had blonde-bleached highlights, all reddish brown hair, green highlights (hahaha), blue highlights, pink highlights, etc. But, I always come back to reddish dyed hair. I don't have photos of my crazy hair (yes, none, promise!) so as much as I would like to show you, I couldn't.

Now, the result of all these styling throughout the years is one of the major reasons why I now experience hair fall. Whenever I clean up my room, or even our computer shop, I'd see a lot of hair strands scattered all over the place – all mine 'cause I can see the color.

I'm not alone. Even my brother is experiencing hair fall. He's also starting to experience thinning hair, which we believe we got from our mother. Because of this, he had his hair cut and styled this way. A li'l KPOP-inspired, if you notice. *LOL*

He's looked high and low for the best treatment for this problem, even checked www.shampooforthinninghair.net. Now, he's using these two – Mane 'n Tail shampoo to help speed up hair growth and Lauat Hair Treatment Shampoo for falling hair.

I'm planning on using the treatment shampoo, too, and Mane 'n Tail because I can see that his hair is improving. I also make sure that every night, I brush my hair to keep its shine. I also swore that I'll deep condition my hair every other week and stay away from blow-dryers. I might need to buy a wide-tooth comb because I always brush my hair right after I shower, which is one of the many times I get a lot of hair falling out of my head. I really need to be more gentle with my crowning glory.
