I’m Too Old for This Stuff

No comments:

I am a big fan of How I Met Your Mother ‘cause I love the slapstick humor of Neil Patrick Harris as Barney Stinson. Though it’s a comedy series, there are actually a few lessons they impart. But, most of the time, they just make me laugh out loud, especially when Barney comes up with some lame excuse or invents a new word or tradition. I also find it quite funny that he takes on challenges to prove his friends wrong about something. Like this one episode in Season 4 where Ted Mosby (the supposedly lead character here) said he keeps a list of things he’s too old for. Barney took it as a challenge to do everything on that list.

Ted’s list, by the way, was inspired by Lethal Weapon character Roger Murtaugh. He was known for his catch-phrase, “I’m too old for this sh*t” (Ted replaced the last word to “stuff” since he’s telling the story to his kids ^_^). Here’s the video:

So, right after watching that episode, I came up with my own list of things I’m too old for or what I shouldn’t be doing anymore now that I’m in my very early 30s. Again, this is MY list. I feel I’m too old to be doing those that I listed here, but I’m still all for living your life to the fullest. Still, I find some of the stuff here ridiculous for me to still be doing now.

I’ll keep this updated as I think of more. Share your list too, eh? ;)

I’m too old to wear this bonnet.

I'm too old to wear this bonnet

As much as I feel like I look cute wearing that bonnet (c’mon! LOL) I’ve had for like forever, I cannot wear it anywhere outside. Not just because it’s too effing hot out here, but because it doesn’t really suit my style now that I’m in my 30s. I usually wear it in my room when I don’t want to tie my hair and I don’t want it distracting me.

I’m a Proud Kid of the 80s!

While checking my feeds yesterday, I saw this:

Kids in the 80s

Most of the time, I feel too old whenever I mingle with people. It’s like almost everyone around me are younger and are calling me “ate” or “ma’am”. Though most people mistake me for being 25-28 years old, I still feel really old.

But, when I read that, it made me feel blessed to have lived in the 80s. I feel like we’re more patient than the kids today. It could be because of all the technological advancement we’ve been experiencing the past years. People have been generally impatient.

Now, we complain about our 2Mbps connection, when about a decade ago, dialup internet connection speeds were considered very decent. These days, I see people complaining when a site fails to load in less than 5 seconds (my customers at the shop).

My bro and I usually will go into discussions like wondering how we used to live without a computer. I remember panicking when we went to Pagudpud in 2010. We didn’t have any WiFi access and I felt I’m not going to survive. But, surprisingly, it was one of the best things that could’ve happened to us during that trip. It was a blessing in disguise. I was able to bond more with my travel companions and I had more urge to explore. I didn’t even miss my internet connection. I had a ton of emails and messages waiting for me when I got home though. LOL

I remember owning my very first cellphone, a Nokia 5110. It was funny remembering how proud I was I have that phone. I will usually show it off ‘cause it was so fricking cool back then. Yeah, I used to be like that. *LOL* Now, I have a Blackberry Bold 9900 phone, and I’m scared to let anyone else see it when I’m travelling. :))

The Family Computer, BOW

I remember getting all hooked on playing patintero, Chinese garter, and base-to-base with my friends back at our old home in Navotas. I had a ton of exercise when I was a kid. It all ended though when I got addicted to the family computer. I can play Super Mario, Contra (can you still remember the combo to get hundred lives?! LOL) and Sparta for hours! It was the start of my life as a geek. LOL

*sigh* Very fun memories. What’s your favorite memory from the 80s?

Any Good New Online Game?

I'm bored

Some of you might find it funny that I still have time to get bored. With all the tasks and research I do at night for work and all the tasks I juggle after work and weekends for my blogs, my sideline projects, all the while maintaining a social life (most of the time, online… there’s no shame in that *wink*), I do still have a couple of minutes to hours where I get bored because I can’t find anything else interesting to do. If I only had a ton of cash, I might have invited friends to play bingo online for cash with me. But, since I don’t have that much money to spare, I’ve tried rekindling my love for MMORPG (Massively Multiplayer Online Role-playing Games) like Ragnarok Online. After playing for about 30 minutes, I got bored. *LOL*

Pet Society

I remember playing Facebook games before during idle time. There’s Cafe World and Pet Society (click to see my posts on them here). Oh, this reminds me. I’m planning on giving away my Pet Society stuff. I’ve got a ton! I don’t play it anymore because it seems like the whole gameplay is too repetitive for me. I found it really cute at first, then I got addicted to collecting new stuff every week. Then, I got bored after over 6 months of playing. I had fun with Cafe World too because of the whole decorating, etc. But, same repetitive gameplay. I wanted something a li’l diverse.

I’m now on the lookout for a new online game to play. A couple of months ago, people have suggested I play Dragon Nest, but I lost interest the same night I played it. I need something that’ll spark my interest, something not too repetitive and with a gameplay that doesn’t revolve around completing quests, killing monsters to gain experience and money, partying with other gamers, etc.

I’m about to try playing Virtual Villagers again (the latest). It was really fun. Though some may argue it’s almost similar to Pet Society because you take care of people, but I love the randomness of the storylines and what will happen to your villagers. So, I might actually enjoy this one again and play it when I get bored. Until I find an online game that’ll intrigue me enough to play it for longer than an hour, I’ll stick this to my Virtual Villagers.

Any suggestions on a good online game?

If Only I’m Filthy Rich…

No comments:

(Written on Thursday afternoon)

Kindness is a universal language

There are times like today when I feel sad that I wasn't born into a rich family or that I'm not as financially capable as I wanted to be. No, it's not because I want to buy everything I've been dreaming of (though that'll be nice too). It's just that whenever I encounter someone who I know deserves all the help they can get financially, I wish I could be that person to pull them out of the crisis they're in.

The sad thing is, as much as I'd like to give or share whatever I have now, family comes first. Our needs must be on top of my priorities because I'm currently the only one helping my nanay with the finances at home.

Nonetheless, I do what I can to help. It may not be through financial aid, but at least, in one way or another, I was able to make them smile, warm their heart and make them realize that there are people who care. Kindness can come in different shapes and forms. If I was able to make them feel that, then, I'd be glad.

While writing this on my phone (I'll be doing this more often.. Now, if only Blogger has an app for BB), I realized, how can I be sure I'd be this willing to help if I was indeed rich? Will I feel the same desire to help this family if I'm drowning myself with money? I hope so. I really do.

Choose generosity I can't believe the things this family has gone through in the past 4 months. But, I admire the courage of this mother of 3. Her family, excluding the father who left them for another woman and kids who weren't his own, made me further believe that God provides. If you put your trust in Him, you'd be surprised with what's in store for you. And I'm happy that no matter how devastating the circumstances have been for them, they never lost hope. I should heed to their example.

No, I'm not trying to sound like a saint with this post. If you know me in real life, you'd know how sensitive I can be. I really wish I'd be given a better chance to help them. *sigh* For now, all I can do is pray for them to be free of all the burden they've been carrying for months now.

I wish I could hug her, y'know? If only that won't be completely weird. *sigh*

Get Your Kids Outside With A Playset

No comments:

It is very important these days to get kinds outside and physically active. An outdoor wooden playset is the perfect motivation tool to spark excitement and bring smiles to your kids’ faces.  Although it may be somewhat overwhelming when researching playsets and deciding which swing set features, there are many resources online in assisting with your decision.  If your child especially likes climbing then a rock wall climb is certainly a great feature.  Some other great playset features are swinging and sliding.  The fun is never-ending when you child gets on a swivel mounted tire swing!

A few thing to consider when deciding on the level of quality in you children’s outdoor playset:  Are you expecting the playset to last  the entire childhood?  If so, make sure to seek out a manufacturer that uses top grade materials and carry a limited lifetime warranty.  These playsets are simply better than the cheaper mass market units most people initially see at various retail stores.  Another key component to examine when analyzing an outdoor playset, is to note the attention to detail.  Some playsets have cheap accessories and other playsets have very durable and safe accessories. Remember, most authorized playset dealers will also include delivery and installation in their price!

Aluminum Awnings – Cool Down Your Home Inexpensively

No comments:

Aluminum awnings offer you a very inexpensive way that you can cool your home down during the heat of the summer months, and gives you a great way to protect your furniture and flooring from all of the fading effects that are put off by the sun. These aluminum awnings also provide a shelter for your windows and all of your doors from all of the many different elements of Mother Nature. A great benefit of these awnings is that they are always packaged with very easy to follow instructions, so that you don’t have to rely on someone else to do the installation that is going to cost you another out of pocket expense. Aluminum awnings can easily be set up in whatever position you desire them to be in and they come with all of the needed hardware for the installation to be done by you.

Aluminum awnings patio covers are actually made from lattice, and they can truly make a transformation in the look of your patio. This type of awning is sold by kits and you have the choice of having your awning free standing, or it can be attached onto your home, whichever you prefer. Custom made awnings are always an option if you need an unusual size or type.

How’s Your Phone Etiquette?

No comments:

I haven’t been feeling well since Sunday night and it got worst yesterday afternoon after I was awakened by my phone’s constant ringing. It really irritated me so I checked to see who’s calling. It’s this someone who’s asking me for a favor the other day and I wasn’t able to respond and help her immediately because of too many things going on at home, my new work and my other sideline projects (though if you check my Facebook page, it may look like it’s not that hectic *LOL*). I didn’t bother answering the phone ‘cause I wasn’t ready to give her an answer. And as soon as the current call ended, you know how many times she already tried calling me?

18 TIMES.

Seriously? 18?! And she didn’t even get any inkling that I might be sleeping, super busy, or not near my phone to answer her calls? For me, that’s just rude, especially when she didn’t even bother to text me after I didn’t answer her calls. She could’ve left a message requesting I notify her as soon as I’m ready to answer, or I’m available. Sheesh.

My body clock's programmed differently

I understand, not many people know how my body clock works. Most people I know online may have no idea that I’m like a vampire – I’m awake at night. I’m more alert and easier to deal with during sundown (LOL). This isn’t just because I’ve gotten used to this routine and my body prefers to be up at night, but also because of my online work (old and new).

This is exactly why I find it inconsiderate when this someone tried calling me 18 times at 11am when she’s fully aware I’m sound asleep at that time. And even if she had no idea, really? Do you have to call 18 times before coming up with a conclusion that I may not be available to take your call?

*sigh* And she’s not the only one who’s done this to me. That’s why I have my phone’s ringing tone set to mute most of the time. But, those who’ve done this to me in the past stopped after the third attempt.

The Crime of “Like”

No comments:

With the growing number of Facebook users nowadays, you can only expect the continuing increase of people using this social networking site as the primary means to communicate with their friends and loved ones. It’s easy and very accessible. But, based on my observation, this has affected some people in a way where we no longer think before we act.

And yes, I meant WE because I’m also guilty of some of the “Facebook crimes” like ranting too much, or posting too many updates. *LOL* Like I always say, you have the option to unsubscribe or hide my updates on your newsfeed. But, one thing I never did is “liking” a post or photo that’s depressing.

I remember seeing Facebook status posts from people on my list (I have a wide network because of my blogs) after typhoon Pedring and Sendong. People were actually hitting that LIKE link (or button) even when the message was devastating. Do these people still remember what “like” means?! Do you?

I see people liking Facebook relationship status changes from “in a relationship” to “single” (I have a post about people who change this like it means nothing). I know, there are instances when this will be acceptable, but generally, it’s not proper to “like” this too.

What's so likeable about this LOL

I use the “like” button (please permit me to use button instead of link ‘cause it just sounds better ^_^) a lot, especially when I don’t feel like leaving a lengthy comment (I can’t be brief ever… @_@ ). I believe that a simple “like” would get my message across that I’m in favor or I agree with what the poster was saying or trying to express. Some may concur with the message below that it’s what lazy people use, but in my case, it only happens 10% of the time. *LOL*

Facebook Like Button Explained

I just wish there are more options available than just the “like” button. I’d like to see a “I don’t care” and “dislike” button. But, I know a couple of my crazy friends will use those on me. *LOL*

Thanksgiving Day 9 : Mistakes, Failures

No comments:

I mistakenly scheduled this post to 2013. I don’t know what I was thinking. :))

The greatest mistake you can make in life is to be continually fearing you will make one

In 2011, I made a lot of mistakes and failed in different areas of my life. There were days that I felt so down to a point of hopelessness and I feel like life won’t give me a break. But, the side of me who always believed there’s light at the end of the tunnel managed to push me forward. And even though there were days when it was much harder for me to get up, feel better and move on with my life, I did my best to continue on even with that big fear of making further mistakes.

You might be wondering why, on my last thanksgiving day, I’m expressing my gratitude for the failures and mistakes I encountered last year. We’ve all heard of the same clichés about mistakes and failures, but however cheesy they may sound to you, they’re true. They make us stronger and smarter.

Whenever I feel so disappointed with myself for a missed opportunity or a loss, I ask myself, if I was given a chance to go back, will I change my mind and do things differently? And I always answer that question with “no”. Everytime, my mind will come up with other worse scenarios, as if I’m in a Choose Your Own Adventure book, if I did things differently. So, I’ll brush that feeling of failure aside and move on. But, this time, more careful and smarter.

Everything happens for a reason. That’s one of the overly used clichés you can ever hear from people who are trying to cheer you on. Seriously, it’s the truth. Whatever problem, mistake or failure you experience, it’s just a detour. It’ll bring you to the right path. It may take some time before the reason is revealed to you, but it’ll come. And sometimes, we need to let go of too much control so we won’t get stuck at the same fricking scenario. This has rang true to me in various ways, which made me more patient now.

This is why I’m thankful for all the mistakes and failures I went through in 2011. If it wasn’t for them, I might not be where I am now, doing what I love, working in the comforts of our home while still spending quality time with friends and family.

Making Money Online through Paid Surveys

No comments:

Most of the people who know me are aware of the fact that I make money online through various methods (check my blog Pinay Online Money Maker). I used to earn money from sites that pay me to do different tasks like viewing websites, receiving emails, etc. And I’ve tried almost everything, including answering a paid survey from sites like SurveyHead.

Survey-Head

There are countries around the world, particularly in the USA, where corporations and market researchers invest on knowing what their target market wants out of a certain product or service, This enables them to come up with solutions for their customers or ways to drive in sales either through a completely new product or by reinventing the ones they already have.

But, if you’re like me, when a company, online or offline, offers me to answer a survey, I usually look the other way or I completely ignore them. Well, except when I received bad service, I don’t really take the time to answer surveys. And I know a lot of you out there feel the same way about surveys.

This is why there are companies like SurveyHead who now offer surveys for cash to encourage or push people to complete them in exchange for money. It does work because I’ve been a member of other sites like it and I’ve seen fellow online money makers earning from them. Sadly, on my end, since I’m in Asia, I barely see any surveys available for me to respond to. I’d be so lucky if I even get one survey in a month.

By the way, SurveyHead has been around since 2008 and have been helping businesses come up with better strategies towards satisfying their customers with the help of the end-users themselves. All you have to do is sign up (there’s a $5.00 bonus), fill up the forms they’ll direct you to and you can already see if you qualify for any surveys. Easy! :)

So far, I’ve only seen one survey available to me and it’s for free. Hopefully, I’d get more soon. Let me know of your experience with them, okay?

It’s More Fun in the Philippines : True That!

No comments:

Because of work and schedule conflicts last year, 2011, I wasn’t able to travel to anywhere in the Philippines. We had a couple of plans for out-of-town trips, but they all ended up being cancelled at the very last minute. This year, though, I swore I will travel more.

I may be not as outdoorsy as most travelers, but I do love discovering new places, taking a vacation away from work or anything stressful. Even when we went to a five-day vacation where we visited 4 destinations ala Amazing Race (starts here) and we all ended up dead tired afterwards, we all had a wonderful time and it made me realize how much I love travelling. And this year, I won’t let anything stop me from doing so. And I’m already signing up a couple of my friends to join me. ;)

It's more fun in the Philippines

This is exactly why I’m in full support of the new campaign of the Department of Tourism It’s More Fun in the Philippines. It is indeed a great conversation starter and I consider it a challenge for us Filipinos to prove or show the world how true that statement is. And this is also one of the reasons why I want to travel around the Philippines first before I head on out of the country.

Number 1 for Fun - Philippines

A large majority of foreigners who have been in the Philippines, met a Filipino, and/or have experienced our culture would agree that there are a lot of activities that are more fun in the Philippines. I was reading the Twitter feeds earlier in support of the campaign (#ItsMoreFunInThePhilippines and #1ForFun) and there were a ton of interesting responses. Here are some of them and a couple that I thought of earlier:

  • Asia without the language barrier because even those who weren’t able to go to school can understand or speak in basic English. Plus, all our street signs are in English.
  • Our ability to smile even when we’re stressed or when we feel like the whole world’s upon our shoulders. This is one of the reasons why, I think, we don’t have a lot of practicing shrinks / therapists here.
  • The family ties and how we value our bloodlines - amazing.
  • The long celebration of Christmas and New Year – one of the many reasons why Pinoys abroad do their best to come home during these holidays.
  • Generally, how we celebrate anything.
  • The beaches, the historic places, the mountains, the sceneries at our tourist spots – breath-taking!
  • The food – sinigang, adobo, kare-kare, tinola, LECHON.. I could go on and on, but I might end up eating before going to bed. LOL
  • Videoke – We LOVE our videoke. We love singing that’s why most Pinoys you’d meet can carry a tune and aren’t that tone-deaf.
  • Our complexion that most people from Western countries envy.
  • The words of respect - “po” and “opo”, “kuya”, “ate”.
  • The intense support we give to our countrymen who excel in different fields / industries, or even in music (Charice, for instance) or sports (like Manny Pacquiao).
  • Bargain shopping – Greenhills, Gilmore, Bambang, Ukay-ukay, Divisoria – need I say more?
  • Social media – we love our Twitter and Facebook, alright. Give us something you want to go viral on the web and we’ll do it while having fun. :)

I can think of more reasons why it’s more fun here in the Philippines just to remind you if in case you’re one of the haters of this campaign.

I’ve read negative comments about the slogan, some continuously mocking the idea saying it’s not original (because of a 60+ old ad from Switzerland using the “It’s more fun…” tagline), that they should’ve removed the “more” part, and some even mentioning the flaws of our country, our culture and the people. I mean, c’mon. SERIOUSLY? We always complain about crab mentality and that’s a PERFECT example right there.

This is a campaign to promote TOURISM in our country. Can’t we, even for a brief period of time, focus on the positive and actual FUN things about the Philippines, about being a Filipino and about living here?!

What’s worse is most of the people I see who are too vocal about the flaws of the Philippines are FILIPINOS.  *sigh* Really? Do you think the bad outweighs the good about our country? I mean, c’mon! For sure you can think of at least TEN things that are MORE FUN in the Philippines. Stop and think about it. That might change your mind. If you can’t think of any (what’s wrong with you?!), read through all the tweets of support - #ItsMoreFunInThePhilippines and #1ForFun.

I’m pretty sure majority of Filipinos here and abroad are well aware of the flaws of our country. But, please. We can always say bad things about everything since nothing and no one’s perfect. There are times that it’s better and MORE FUN to, even for a little while, look at the brighter side. It’s less stressful, trust me.

VIRAL SUPPORT through PHOTOS

I’ve seen a lot of interesting photos shared by people on my network showcasing a ton of things to do and places that are more fun in the Philippines. Here are some of my favoritesBlogging - It's more fun in the Philippines

Of course, this one’s a favorite – Blogging. More fun in the Philippines, made by Fitz Villafuerte. I’m in the photo somewhere. :)

Fastfood Wars

So true. McDonald’s here can’t beat Jollibee. Even Pinoys who leave the country miss it a LOT.

Staring contest with Tarsier

Another one I found on one of the many FB pages made for the campaign. That’s the Tarsier you’d find in Bohol. :)

Here are my new favorites, made by Roland Benzon (see album here), most photos from Mon Corpuz. I LOVE the double entendre.. :)

Social Climbing - more fun in the Philippines Cosplay - More fun in the Philippines Home improvement - More fun in the Philippines

It’s just wonderful that the new slogan for the DOT campaign is bringing out our creativity. Want to create your own FUN campaign poster / photo? Well, I wanted to so I went looking for the font they used for the campaign banner and I luckily found it on one of the many Facebook group pages that was created for the said tagline.

What font was used in the It’s More Fun in the Philippines campaign ? It’s Harabara, which you can download for free from dafont.

I’ve already thought of a couple of ideas for my own posters for this and I’ll post it next time. :)

What do you think of the campaign? Feel free to share your thoughts and ideas for the “It’s more fun in the Philippines” campaign. :)

2011 Thanksgiving Day 8 : People I Can Count On

No comments:

Thank you for the people I can count on

We all have this person or people who make our lives easier or hassle-free because of all their hard work or support for whatever you’re trying to accomplish or even with the simple things like getting by everyday with the chores, etc.  They can be the people you hire to work for you or just your friends who back you up when you need it.

My assistant…

Ever since I hired him during the first quarter of 2011, my computer shop earnings have improved. I know, his salary is an added expense, but considering the convenience of not waking up early everyday to man the shop, and the fact that I can now focus on taking on other jobs and opportunities online and offline makes me so thankful he’s around.

Our helper…

So far, she’s the most thoughtful and hardworking of all the house help we’ve hired for the past 3 decades of my life. That’s why I can’t help but reward her for her hard work. She was even here during typhoon Pedring and she helped us a ton during the cleanup. She can really be counted on and I hope and pray I’ll be given a chance to help her financially when she needs it.

My nanay…

Of course, my nanay is the #1 person who I can count on. She’s always had my back, even during those times she didn’t agree on my decisions or what I wanted to do with my life. I’m so glad she became a friend to us. I guess that’s bound to happen to parents, especially when their kids are adults, like me and Ken.

My brother…

He learned to handle my mood swings, though I’m still learning to adjust to his. *LOL* He also is the first person I ask for advice, whether it’s about a minor issue like my design concepts, or a major decision in my life.

My friends

I don’t want to name them all ‘cause I know I’m bound to miss one or two. But, they’ve been a huge help. I may look like I got it all figured out, but my friends and the rest of my support system (my family) have been a big part of why I can handle all the stress and problems I’ve encountered the past year.

-----------------------------------------------------------------

You see, we are never alone. We may say we can handle everything on our own, but the truth is, there’s always that someone you lean on or turn to when you need some encouragement or even when you just need to smile or laugh a little. :)

2011 Thanksgiving Day 7 : Blessings

No comments:

Thank you for all the blessings

2011 has been a truly fruitful year for me and my family. There have been a ton of opportunities that came our way, but there are some other blessings we’ve received that I am so thankful for too.

My father’s successful minor eye surgery…

He had cataract removed from his left eye. The doctor also recommended he undergo lasik surgery since his eye’s grade was over 1,000. He now can see clearly and his vision should be at 20/20 very soon. I now envy him because he doesn’t need to wear any graded glasses anymore. I’m hoping to undergo the same lasik surgery this 2012.

Meet Bochok and Bechay, our new Persian cats

The new additions to our family…

I’ve already posted about them – our 4 new puppies, 5 new kittens and 2 new cats. Though it can be real chaotic at times, I can’t help but smile whenever I see all our pets at home. They’re truly a part of our family. :)

Our health insurance….

Because of this, we don’t have to worry about spending too much on medical checkups. Without it, we would’ve spent like over Php 50,000 for my dad’s checkups before his eye surgery. My nanay and I also had a series of medical tests the past weeks and we’ll learn about the results this week. We might’ve not undergone any of these checkups and learned what we need to work on in terms of a much-needed lifestyle change if it wasn’t because of our medical insurance. It’s just too costly.

So, if you have a current health insurance, make use of it. I’ve worked for different corporations before and I had pretty good health insurance plans, especially when I was with ePLDT, that I didn’t get to take advantage of because of my fears of knowing anything negative about my health. Again, PREVENTION IS BETTER THAN CURE. It’s better to know now than later.

2011 Thanksgiving Day 6 : New and Old Friends

No comments:

 Thank you for my friends

2011 has been one of the most memorable years for me because of the many people I have met and became friends with. Blogging was a big part of it as I met these awesome personalities that I might not have known if I didn’t attend these blogger events in the past months.

So, for my thanksgiving day 6, I would like to express my gratitude for my old and new friends who have made my 2011 as fun as it was.

Though I think I lost 2 or 3 friends because of hard decisions I had to make for myself, I don’t think I’ll ever stop caring for them. I’m just the type of person who choose to keep a few true friends than have a ton of fair weather pals. Still, I thank them for coming into my life.

I am grateful for my high school best friends Jasmin and Tina, who I know understand me inside and out. Thank you for being the same friends to me after over a decade of knowing each other. We may not see each other as often as we’d want, but I know I can count on you ladies, and please know you can count on me too.

Though it hurts me to lose one of my long-time friends because of a misunderstanding (I’m the kind of friend who’ll tell you the truth to your face if I know you badly need it), I’ll still be here for her no matter what. I do hope her “new” friends will care for her as much as I did and still do.

I’m thankful for Saji, a colleague who became one of my long-time friends who knows the wild and crazy me and still love and care for me regardless of where we are now in our own lives. I wish we can travel together soon. :)

One of my most cherished friends now, Joy, who has been there for me during those days I feel like the world’s against me. Thank you for listening to me and giving me sound advice when you know I need it. I’m looking forward to seeing you again. :)

I’m also grateful for knowing Ruth last year. She’s one of the craziest and funniest people I know. She never fails to make me laugh. I’m hoping we could travel together too. Hope to see you soon, gurl! :)

Thank you to all my online friends who comment or reply to my posts on Facebook, Twitter and even Google+. *LOL* I love how easy it is now to get to know people through the internet. Some of them, I know I can consider friends even when we only get to talk online.

I also would like to acknowledge my friends who I’ve known for a really long time but we only get to talk online because of the lives we’re leading now. I may not have as much parties like before to celebrate occasions with them, but I’m happy nonetheless to still feel they’re there for me. :)

And, lastly, I’m grateful for my brother Kenneth, who I consider one of the few people who know the true me. He’s not just a sibling to me, but also a confidant. Thanks, bro! :)
