Once Upon a Time in Wonderland (Day 30 #100HappyDays)

I finally finished all episodes of the only season of Once Upon a Time in Wonderland. I’m a HUGE fan of the original series – Once Upon a Time – and this one’s the spin-off, so I decided to download and watch everything too. I have to admit, I initially didn’t like Wonderlandย because of the bad acting at first and the storyline, but after 8 episodes, I was hooked! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Once Upon a Time in Wonderland

To give you a brief background on OUAT, it’s a twisted take on the fairytales we all heard when we were kids. That’s all I have to say since you have to watch to completely understand the charm of the series. ๐Ÿ™‚

Once Upon a Time in Wonderland characters

Anyway, back to Wonderland, at first, I didn’t like the Red Queen and Alice. Eventually, though, I learned to accept the Red Queen. ๐Ÿ˜€ Alice, hmmm… I’m torn. I’m not particularly familiar with the story of Alice in Wonderland, but I know she’s crazy. Hahahah. Anyway, I’m excited to see Knave of Hearts in the original series Once Upon a Time, in Storybrooke. I hope he’ll be a fun addition to the series. ๐Ÿ™‚

Game of Thrones + Something Personal (Day 29 #100HappyDays)

It’s been delayed for months now, and I’m glad it’s back. I hope things will normalize now and get back to it’s monthly schedule again. And, no, this is the personal part of my entry today. If you have no clue what I’m referring to, please, just move on to my GoT entry below. ๐Ÿ˜›

Finally, after months of waiting, Game of Thrones is back!! I LOVE this series! Sure, there are times when I don’t understand what’s happening or I get confused by the longggggg list of characters, but I enjoy watching every episode. I already have the books lined up on my Kindle so I can read them before I watch the series from season 1 again.

Game of Thrones

Glad our internet connection was cooperating and it took me less than 30 minutes to download the whole episode at full speed. Yay!

My bro is also addicted to the series, and he’s encouraging me to finish the books. I just need to finish Lean In and Eat, Pray, Love, then I’ll move on to the Game of Thrones books. ๐Ÿ™‚

I’ll leave you with this video I found: an honest trailer for Game of Thrones. Pretty much summed up what most people think of the show. Hahaha ๐Ÿ˜€

Cleaning Up My Room (Day 28 #100HappyDays)

I have to admit, I’m not a big fan of cleaning. It’s not really laziness, but mostly because I developed some sort of allergy to dust. So, I either ask our house help to do it for me or I take my time cleaning.

After months of postponing a general clean-up of my room, I finally did it today! Well, okay, not really a complete clean-up, but I managed to organize my vanity table and the area where my printer/scanner/photocopier is located.ย After our upcoming vacation, I’m planning on cleaning up my entire room.

My vanity table

Yeah, most of the clutter are now inside the drawers hahaha ๐Ÿ˜›

I actually prefer to do my own cleaning because I’m more meticulous when it comes to ensuring every corner is dusted and cleaned. I sometimes get too OC that I even use an alcohol-soaked tissue, cotton or rug to finish my clean-up. Well, at least that’s what I do with my vanity table, my laptop and desktop’s keyboard and mouse/touchpad, and my office table. ๐Ÿ˜€

I’m slightly exhausted. I’m feeling a li’l under the weather, but somehow, this made me feel better. ๐Ÿ™‚

Lunch at Viking’s SM Megamall (Day 27 #100HappyDays)

Of course, as a certified foodie, most of my #100HappyDays entries would be about food. ๐Ÿ˜€ Earlier today, we had lunch at one of our favorite buffet restaurants in the Metro – Viking’s Luxury Buffet. They recently opened their newest branch at Mega Fashion Hall at SM Megamall. Here’s a look at all the deliciousness that filled my Saturday afternoon.

These oysters were oh-so flavorful! I was too full, so I only got to eat 2. ๐Ÿ˜€

Pay It Forward (Day 26 #100HappyDays)

Okay, nothing really happened today that suits the title except reading this article about someone who helped a mother by paying for their groceries. Hearing stories of random acts of kindness make my heart melt… and make me happy. ๐Ÿ™‚ Being kind to strangers is not an easy thing to do for many peopleย because we’ve been exposed to how bad others can get. So it makes me smile, and even shed a tear or two, when I read stories like this of pure kindness.

Random act of kindness

I have to admit, I can sometimes be cynical when it comes to giving alms to beggars. But I have had many chances to pay it forward, in my own little ways. I may not particularly remember every single one of those moments, but I feel like it’s not for me to remember. I hope that everyone I helped felt that there are still many of us who are willing to reach out and lend a helping hand.

No act of kindness is ever wasted

I have yet to perform a remarkable act of kindness, but I feel the little good deeds matter too. Helping an elderly climb up a jeepney or bus. Giving the homeless you see on the street some food (not leftovers) so they can eat for the day. Being respectful towards the wait staff, janitors, etc. Even a smile can help brighten up someone’s day. There are many things we can do to be kind to others, and majority of them don’t need you to shell out any money. We just need to pay attention and empathize.

My small acts of kindness didn’t just make the people I helped feel better, but it warmed my heart and soul. I’ve been blessed and lucky, so why shouldn’t I pay it forward? ๐Ÿ™‚
